KFF shuts down violating sites in Mahboula during major safety inspection campaign
Business owners are urged to comply fully with fire safety and other requirements and to cooperate with inspection teams, stressing that proactive compliance helps prevent violations and the risk of legal action.

The Kuwait Fire Force carried out a wide-scale inspection campaign on Tuesday in Mahboula, directly supervised by the KFF Chief, Major General Talal Al-Roumi, to monitor buildings and commercial establishments violating fire safety and other regulations.
According to Brigadier General Mohammed Al-Gharib, Director of the Public Relations and Media Department, several violations were recorded during the campaign, and immediate closure orders were issued for those establishments posing a threat to public safety.
Al-Gharib explained that the campaign was conducted in line with the directives of First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef to intensify inspection efforts.
The operation involved participation from the Ministry of Interior, the Kuwait Municipality, and more than 300 members of the Kuwait Fire Force.
He noted that inspection teams began their work immediately upon the campaign’s launch, targeting non-compliant facilities throughout the area. Violations uncovered included failure to renew fire licenses, unsafe storage of materials, blocked emergency exits, exposed electrical wiring, and lack of proper maintenance for firefighting equipment, reports Al-Rai daily,
Brigadier General Al-Gharib emphasized that the campaign is part of ongoing national efforts to enforce safety standards, safeguard lives, and protect property. He affirmed that the General Fire Force will continue conducting similar inspection campaigns across all governorates to uphold public safety.
