GTD campaign targets rental offices, records 59 traffic violations in Ardhiya

A traffic and inspection campaign in Kuwait’s Al-Ardhiya Industrial Area resulted in 64 reports being issued against vehicle rental offices for regulatory violations, along with administrative seizure and 59 traffic violations, the GTD said.
The campaign was conducted last Saturday by the General Traffic Department in cooperation with the Coordination and Follow-up Department, Education Department and Land Transport Department.
The operation, supervised by General Traffic Department Director General Brigadier Rashid Hamoud Al-Hajri and led by Assistant Director General for Education and Coordination Affairs Colonel Nawaf Ahmed Al-Sabah, targeted vehicle rental offices and vehicles found in violation.
According to the department, inspectors made observations related to non-compliance with the requirements and regulations governing vehicle rental activities. The campaign also resulted in the arrest of two wanted persons in connection with arrest and summons cases.

Authorities additionally seized two vehicles wanted by the judiciary and transferred them to the competent authorities for the necessary legal action.
The General Traffic Department said its traffic and inspection campaigns would continue across various areas, urging everyone to comply with applicable laws, regulations and requirements to avoid legal accountability.
