Kuwait security drive nets 638 violators across governorates

Authorities recorded 16 drug cases, arrested nine illegal workers, and seized one vehicle, while also registering 13 alcohol-related cases, eight wanted vehicles, and 17 violations involving expired residency permits.

  • The Ministry of Interior affirmed that it will continue intensive security campaigns across all governorates and take the necessary legal measures against anyone who violates laws and regulations to safeguard the nation’s security and citizens’ safety.

The Ministry of Interior announced on Saturday that it carried out security campaigns across all governorates as part of its continued efforts to uphold security, enforce order, and arrest wanted individuals and lawbreakers, reported Al Rai newspaper.

The ministry said in a statement that these campaigns were conducted in the presence of the head of the Security Directorates Affairs Sector, Major General Hamad Al-Munifi, noting that the total number of seizures reached 638. These included the arrest of 46 wanted persons (criminal, debtor, absentee, and immigration investigations), 26 violators of the residency law, and 19 individuals without identification.

Authorities also recorded 16 drug cases, arrested nine illegal workers, and impounded one vehicle. In addition, 13 cases related to intoxicants and alcohol were registered, along with the seizure of eight wanted vehicles under judicial orders, and 17 cases of expired residency.

Two people were arrested for drunkenness, two for suspected abnormal conditions, one individual was referred for psychiatric evaluation, and two were arrested for gambling.

A juvenile was detained for driving without a license, while another person was arrested for street vending. The campaigns further resulted in the issuance of 481 traffic violations.

The ministry affirmed that it will continue intensive security campaigns across all governorates and take the necessary legal measures against anyone who violates laws and regulations to safeguard the nation’s security and citizens’ safety.
