GTD conducts intensive campaigns on highways, arrests violators, impound vehicles
The Highways Department of the General Traffic Department carried out several intensive traffic campaigns on the Seventh Ring Road and other highways between August 13 and August 20, 2025, to monitor violations and apprehend wanted individuals.
The campaigns resulted in the issuance of 3,239 traffic citations; two vehicles impounded; 3 cases referred to the traffic police; 36 persons referred to the police station for not carrying identification documents, reports Al-Rai daily.
This is in addition to impounding 56 vehicles seized upon judicial orders; three persons were arrested on whom arrest warrants had been issued, arrest of 115 residency and labor law violators and 12 juveniles were taking into custody for driving without license.
