Kuwait braces for a sizzling, sticky weekend; humidity, fog, and scattered rain on the horizon

. . . drivers and early risers are advised to watch for reduced visibility due to fog, especially near coastal areas.

Kuwait’s weather will be dominated by a hot and humid air mass through the weekend, with coastal areas experiencing intense discomfort.

Director of the Meteorology Department Dharar Al-Ali told the Kuwait News Agency that humidity will increase noticeably, especially in coastal and nearby regions, where fog may form during late night and early morning hours.

Low to medium clouds are expected to build gradually, bringing scattered light rain showers that could turn thundery at times. Rain chances will begin to rise on Friday evening and continue through the weekend.

Thursday will see maximum temperatures between 44°C and 46°C, with light to moderate southeasterly winds (8–35 km/h) and occasional clouds. The sea will be light to moderate, with waves of 1 to 5 feet.

Evenings throughout the weekend will remain hot to very humid, especially along the coast. Winds will stay variable to southeasterly, with speeds reaching up to 38 km/h. Minimum temperatures will hover between 30°C and 33°C. Light fog and sporadic thundery showers are possible in some areas.
