‘Comrade Pinarayi Vijayan’ threatens to blow up BSE

Today morning, the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) received a threatening email from an ID identifying itself as ‘Comrade Pinarayi Vijayan,’ claiming that four RDX-based IED bombs has been planted inside the BSE tower.

The message warned that the bombs would detonate at 3 pm (IST).

Security agencies were immediately alerted, and a bomb disposal squad and police teams were deployed to evacuate and search the premises, according to Indian news agencies.

As of now, there has been no confirmation of any explosive devices found, and an investigation is underway to trace the source of the email.

Authorities remain on high alert.
