MCI seizes over 1,600 fake tech accessories during crackdown on shops

The Ministry of Commerce and Industry announced that its emergency inspection teams have seized approximately 1,625 counterfeit items during recent campaigns targeting mobile phone accessory shops.
The seized items included fake headsets, charging cables, and various other electronic accessories.
According to a statement posted on the Ministry’s official X account, violation reports were issued against the offending stores, and legal procedures have been initiated in accordance with Kuwait’s laws governing intellectual property and commercial fraud rights.
The Ministry said it is committed to protecting consumers and combating counterfeit goods in the local market, urging the public to report suspicious or fraudulent products through official channels.
