New entrance suggested for Jahra Industrial Area to reduce gridlock

Municipal Council member Abdullah Al-Enezi has submitted a formal proposal to address the persistent traffic congestion at the entrance to the Jahra Industrial Area, which has become a growing concern due to increased road use and limited access routes.
In his proposal submitted to Council Chairman Abdullah Al-Mahri, Al-Enezi explained that a recent inspection tour of the area revealed heavy traffic bottlenecks at the roundabout above the bridge leading into the industrial zone, reports Al-Jarida daily.
He described the situation as chaotic, especially during peak hours, and warned that the lack of adequate entry points contributes significantly to the problem.
To remedy the issue, Al-Enezi called for the construction of a new service road with an additional entrance to the internal roads of the industrial zone. This new access point would connect directly from the Sixth Ring Road, which currently only has a single entrance leading to the area.
He emphasized that the proposal is designed to reduce pressure on the existing route and to offer road users a more efficient and congestion-free alternative for entering the busy industrial zone.
Al-Enezi stressed the importance of the project in supporting smoother traffic flow and improving infrastructure efficiency for one of Kuwait’s vital commercial and industrial hubs.
