Ghana earn a superb point after producing a disciplined and determined defensive display to hold England to a goalless draw in Boston.
England dominated possession for long periods and created the better chances, especially in the second half, but could not find a way past Benjamin Asare and a resilient Ghana back line.
The Three Lions came agonisingly close late on when Nico O’Reilly struck the crossbar and Marc Guehi’s header was cleared off the line in stoppage time. Harry Kane, Bukayo Saka, and Noni Madueke all tested Ghana’s defence, but the breakthrough never arrived.
For Ghana, it was a performance full of commitment and organisation. The Black Stars defended heroically throughout and occasionally threatened on the counter, with Prince Adu and Abdul Fatawu causing problems late on.
