UIS Investiture Ceremony 2025: Nurturing Future Leaders

The Investiture Ceremony of United Indian School was held with great enthusiasm and solemnity on May 10, 2025, in the school auditorium. This significant occasion marked the formal installation of the newly elected student council and office bearers for the academic year 2025–26.
Gracing the event as the Chief Guest was Dr. V. Binumon, Principal and Senior Administrator of The Indian Community School, Kuwait. His presence added prestige and inspiration to the ceremony.
The proceedings commenced with the Kuwait National Anthem, followed by a recitation from the Holy Quran and its translation, presented by Eshaan Ahmed (XII D) and Henna Vettickal Sideer (XII C), respectively. A heartfelt prayer was then offered by Liya Sojus (XII C).
The gathering was warmly welcomed by Amy Mariam Alex (XII I), whose eloquent speech set the tone for an engaging and memorable event. The traditional lighting of the ceremonial lamp by distinguished guests officially signaled the start of the ceremony, symbolizing enlightenment and hope.
Adding to the festive spirit were a graceful dance performance and a melodious song by the school choir and dance department, both of which captivated the audience.
A defining moment of the day was the march past by the newly appointed leaders, including student council members, house captains, and prefects. Their synchronized display of discipline and teamwork reflected their readiness to take on leadership roles.
The Senior Principal, Mr. C. Radhakrishnan, administered the official oath of office to:
- School Captain: Danah Rachel Sudeer
- Vice-Captain: Len Joseph Varghese
- Head Boy: Joshua Sanju
- Head Girl: Abeya Anna Tijo
- Deputy Head Boy: Aaron Tom Binu
- Deputy Head Girl: Nihita Miriam Binu
He also pinned the badges on the Head Boy and Head Girl. The Chief Guest, Dr. V. Binumon, conferred badges upon the School Captain and Vice-Captain, symbolizing their new responsibilities.
Other badge presentations included:
- Mr. John Thomas, Purchase Manager, pinned the Deputy Head Boy.
- Mrs. Mary Litty, Vice Principal, adorned the Deputy Head Girl.
Mrs. Reshmi Elizabeth, Primary Vice Principal, and Mrs. Anitha Somaraj, KG Head, carried out the badging of House Captains — Blue House: Ayana Biju Nilakkappillil; Green House: Arpit Binu Mathew; Yellow House: Shivani Shymesh; Red House: Evan David
The newly appointed House Vice-Captains took their pledge under the leadership of the School Vice-Captain:
- Blue House: Tony Sijo Mampilly
- Green House: Abel Shinu
- Yellow House: Marvel Maneesh
- Red House: Abel Varghese Shaju
The Prefects pledged their commitment under the guidance of the Head Boy. Badges for the House Vice-Captains were presented by their respective House Incharges:
- Blue: Neethu Aarathy
- Green: Praveen T. Prasannan
- Yellow: Arpit Dogra
- Red: Saba Qasim Kutti
In his keynote address, Dr. V. Binumon delivered a powerful message, encouraging the newly elected leaders to uphold values of honesty, responsibility, and dedication.
A soulful musical performance by the office bearers further enriched the ceremony with emotion and unity.
The School Captain, Danah Rachel Sudeer (XII I), extended a sincere vote of thanks, acknowledging the efforts of everyone who made the day a success. This was followed by the presentation of Nalanda Scholarships by the Chief Guest to the First Rank holders, celebrating their academic excellence.
The ceremony concluded on a patriotic note with the Indian National Anthem, reinforcing a sense of national pride and unity.
Special commendations go to the anchors, Shreya Reena Gopan (XII C) and Praise Chacko (XII B), for their poised and articulate compering, which added a touch of professionalism and charm.
To instill leadership skills in younger students, a separate Investiture Ceremony for Primary and Middle School was held on May 11, 2025.
