Duo arrested for smuggling drugs into Central Prison using drones

The Ministry of Interior has announced the arrest of two bedoun for allegedly smuggling narcotics into the Central Prison using drones — a case that has raised fresh concerns about evolving drug trafficking methods.

The suspects were arrested in separate raids carried out in the suburbs of Fintas and Saad Al-Abdullah by the personnel from the Anti-Narcotics Department of the General Department for Drug Control.

According to the Ministry sources, intensive investigations and surveillance efforts uncovered the suspects’ use of drones to supply narcotics directly to an inmate inside the prison. In return, the pair was allegedly paid money for carry out the smuggling operations.
