Sheikh Jarrah delivers Amir’s message to Japanese Prime Minister in Tokyo

His Highness the Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, has sent a written message to Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi focusing on the longstanding ties between Kuwait and Japan, ways to strengthen bilateral relations and current regional developments.

The message was delivered by Foreign Minister Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah during a meeting with the Japanese prime minister in Tokyo on Wednesday, as part of his official visit to the Japanese capital.

The Amir’s message highlighted the close historical relations between Kuwait and Japan and their two friendly peoples, while addressing avenues for further strengthening and developing those ties.

Regional developments were also included in the message, underscoring the importance of continued dialogue between the two countries on issues affecting the region.

The meeting comes as Kuwait and Japan seek to deepen their bilateral partnership and expand cooperation, with the two countries having elevated their relations to a comprehensive strategic partnership last year. Japan’s Foreign Ministry lists Sanae Takaichi as prime minister in its current official records
