‘UAE Cultural Nights in Kuwait’ set to highlight Arab Capital of Culture 2025

The event will open at the Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Cultural Center and will feature a variety of performances showcasing the land and maritime folklore of the United Arab Emirates.

Dr. Matar Al Neyadi, the UAE Ambassador to Kuwait, highlighted the strong fraternal ties between the United Arab Emirates and Kuwait, noting mutual leadership visits, ongoing talks, and various agreements that strengthen their strategic partnership across multiple sectors.

Dr. Matar Al Neyadi, the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to Kuwait, announced the launch of the UAE Cultural Nights in Kuwait on Monday, May 5. The event, organized by the embassy in collaboration with the National Council for Culture, Arts and Letters, will run until May 7, coinciding with Kuwait’s selection as the Arab Capital of Culture for 2025.

He added that the initiative is being organized in partnership with several Emirati organizations focused on heritage, culture, and the arts, including the Founder’s Office, Fujairah Fine Arts Academy, Hamdan Bin Mohammed Heritage Center, Sharjah Heritage Institute, Fujairah Tourism and Antiquities Authority, and the National Archives and Library.

He noted that the event will open at the Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Cultural Center and will feature a variety of performances showcasing the UAE’s land and maritime folklore. In addition, there will be a cultural and heritage exhibition, along with fine arts performances accompanying the first day’s activities. Popular bands from the UAE will also participate.

On the second day, May 6, the event will be held at The Avenues Mall, offering a diverse cultural heritage program, including Emirati heritage performances, a traditional handicrafts corner, and a visual arts pavilion displaying paintings by female Emirati artists.

The third day, Wednesday, May 7, will conclude with a special Emirati theatrical performance titled “Samra,” which will be presented on the Dasma Theatre stage, featuring a selection of Emirati artists.

He emphasized the deep and strong fraternal relations between the UAE and Kuwait, highlighting the mutual visits between the leaderships of the two countries, as well as ongoing consultations and talks.

His Excellency also noted the periodic meetings, memoranda of understanding, and various bilateral programs that contribute to expanding cooperation and strengthening the strategic partnership between the two brotherly countries across multiple sectors.
