Kuwait confirms second term examinations for high schoolers

Examinations for grades 10 and 11 in the science and literature streams will begin on May 21, while grade 12 exams for the same streams are scheduled to start on June 11. Twelfth-grade religious education exams will commence on June 1.

• Each examination will include an extra 15 minutes for all students to review instructions, while students with learning difficulties will receive a 30-minute extension in all subjects.

Mansour Al-Dhafiri, Acting Assistant Undersecretary for General Education at the Ministry of Education, has approved the second semester exam schedules for grades 10, 11, and 12 across science, literature, religious education, and homeschool students, reported Arabic daily Al Jarida.

Exams for grades 10 and 11 (science and literature streams) will begin on Wednesday, May 21, while grade 12 exams for the same streams are set to start on Sunday, June 11. Twelfth-grade religious education exams will commence earlier, on Sunday, June 1.

Al-Dhafiri also noted that 15 extra minutes will be added to each exam to allow students time to review instructions and verify exam papers. Additionally, students with learning difficulties will receive a 30-minute extension for all subjects, in line with a decision by the General Guidance Council.
