The New Gulf Indian School (NGIS) Kuwait, recently celebrated ‘Kerala Piravi’ signifying Kerala’s birth and its rich cultural history and heritage, along with a bouquet of captivating and memorable performances.
The program began with an elegant welcome dance, setting the tone for a series of traditional performances that guided the audience through the rich heritage of Kerala.
The Highlights of the event included stunning dance performances namely; ‘Kathakali’ and ‘Mohiniyattam’, along with the lively ‘Kerala Nadanam’. Each of these captivating performances represented the grace and artistry of Kerala’s dance forms.
The event continued with vibrant renditions of ‘Oppana’, ‘Duff Muttu’, and ‘Chavittu Naadakam’, immersing and transporting the audience in the rhythmic heart of Kerala’s folk culture.
In addition to dance and music, the students of NGIS, Kuwait rendered an impressive display of ‘Kalari’, showcasing the ancient martial art, and a powerful ‘Vanchi Paate’ that brought to life Kerala’s valour and spirit of a warrior.
Moreover, traditional acts like the ‘Koithu Naadakam’ illustrated the harvest season’s joy, while a skit on ‘Parashurama and Kerala’ narrated creatively and memorably about the origin of the legend of Kerala.
The event concluded with a heartwarming and soulful group song by the students, enveloping the audience in a memorable and uplifting experience.
