Hajj registration for 2025 starts this Sunday, says ministry
The registration for the 1446 AH season will run until 17th of this month and can be completed through the electronic platform in line with the My Identity program.

Dr. Muhammad Al-Wasmi, Minister of Justice and Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, announced that the Supreme Hajj and Umrah Committee has set guidelines requiring pilgrims to be Kuwaiti, first-time Hajj applicants, and in groups of up to three relatives.

Al-Wasmi said one resident companion may be added to the Hajj application, including the husband of a Kuwaiti woman resident, the wife of a Kuwaiti man resident, the children of a Kuwaiti woman resident, or the mother of a Kuwaiti man.

Applicants have the right to modify or replace their application during the registration period only. After the sorting process confirms registration, each pilgrim must pay an advance of 750 dinars.
Dr. Muhammad Al-Wasmi, Minister of Justice and Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, announced that the Ministry of Awqaf will open Hajj registration for the 1446 AH (2025 AD) season on Sunday, the 3rd of this month. Registration will run until Sunday, the 17th and can be completed through the electronic platform in line with the My Identity program.
Al-Wasmi stated that the Supreme Hajj and Umrah Committee has established guidelines and conditions for accepting pilgrims, requiring applicants to be Kuwaiti, not to have previously performed Hajj, and to limit groups to a maximum of three people from among relatives.
He added that one resident companion may be added to the application, including the husband of a Kuwaiti woman resident, the wife of a Kuwaiti man resident, the children of a Kuwaiti woman resident, or the mother of a Kuwaiti man.
Al-Wasmi explained that applicants have the right to modify or replace their application during the registration period only. After the sorting process confirms registration, each pilgrim must pay an advance of 750 dinars. However, if the application of the oldest member in the group is canceled, the entire application is canceled.
He explained that an accepted pilgrim has the right to transfer from one campaign to another only once, provided the request is complete and submitted no later than 12/31/2024.
The pilgrim also has the right to a full refund of the Hajj fees if they wish to cancel by 31 December 2024. After this date, a refund will only be available if there is a vacant seat.
Dr. Muhammad Al-Wasmi also announced the launch of the Kuwait International Award for Memorizing, Reciting, and Tajweed of the Holy Quran for 2024 on November 13, under the patronage of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
In a press statement, Al-Wasmi noted that the Kuwait International Award for Memorizing, Reciting, and Tajweed of the Holy Quran has reached its 13th session this year. This milestone reflects the commitment of Kuwait’s leadership and people to honoring the Quran, supporting its memorizers, spreading its values and teachings, instructing its rulings, and educating people on its morals, virtues, etiquette, and guidance.
He emphasized that the Kuwait International Award receives significant local and international attention due to its generous patronage and the strong interest of the people of Kuwait in the Holy Quran, as well as the enthusiasm of memorizers from around the world to participate.
