Municipality, ministers conduct food truck check-up in Al-Ahmadi

The inspection resulted in the removal of all violating mobile vehicles for non-compliance with health and security requirements.

The ministry reported 46 violations involving unlicensed carts and expired food items, along with additional health violations in the Capital Governorate, leading to the removal of non-compliant food truck vehicles.

Abdullatif Al-Mashari, Minister of Municipal Affairs and Minister of Housing Affairs, along with Khalifa Al-Ajeel, Minister of Commerce and Industry, conducted an inspection tour of mobile food vehicles in Al-AhmadiGovernorate. This visit is part of an expanded control campaign, as reported by Al Rai newspaper.

The tour, included Dr. Saud Al-Jalal, the Director of the Saudi Food Authority, and representatives from the Ministry of Interior, resulted in the removal of all violating mobile vehicles for non-compliance with health and security requirements.

The ministry noted that the tour identified 46 violations involving unlicensed carts, expired food items, and the absence of a commercial license and a signed permit. Additionally, a campaign conducted in the Capital Governorate, which covered the areas of Cordoba and Adiliya, also resulted in numerous violations of health requirements and the removal of violating food truck vehicles.

The ministry emphasized that the field tour is part of a broader campaign conducted by ministers and officials from relevant government agencies to combat violations and encroachments in the mobile vehicle sector. The control tour is set to expand in this regard to include all governorates of Kuwait.
