Ministry of Education approves 616,800 dinars budget for 2024-2025

The budget allocates 12,000 dinars for the control and secret printing press and 604,800 dinars for technical guidance and the administration of religious education.

The Ministry of Education has approved the 2024-2025 fiscal year budget for the public education sector, totaling 616,800 dinars. This includes 12,000 dinars for the control and secret printing press and 604,800 dinars for technical guidance and religious education administration, according to Al Rai newspaper.

Matrouk Al-Mutairi, the acting Assistant Undersecretary for Financial Affairs at the ministry, outlined the budget for each area. Music education received 40,800 dinars, with 40,000 dinars allocated for purchasing musical instruments. Additionally, 1,000 dinars were allocated to the Sciences Directorate for purchasing medical equipment, laboratories, and workshop supplies.

Al-Mutairi explained that the budget for general guidance of kindergartens is 50,000 dinars for purchasing various external equipment and tools. Additionally, 276,000 dinars were allocated for the guidance of practical studies, with 150,000 dinars designated for purchasing machines and equipment to train students.

The budget for technical guidance in art education was set at 67,000 dinars. For physical education, the budget is 81,000 dinars for boys and 76,000 dinars for girls. Furthermore, 13,000 dinars were allocated to the Department of Religious Education.

Al-Mutairi emphasized the need to utilize the allocated funds before March 31, while adhering to priorities during budget implementation, which include actual contracts to be executed within the current fiscal year, awarded tenders, and tenders expected to be awarded.

He also stressed the importance of coordinating with the Information Systems Department for computers and software, the General Services Department for inks, and the Supplies and Stores Department for stationery and furniture.

He cautioned against requesting and making financial commitments for business needs and supplies near the end of the fiscal year to avoid depleting the remaining budget and to prevent violations reported by the Financial Controllers Authority and the Audit Bureau. He urged adherence to budget implementation rules.
