13 kilos of drugs, 14,000 pills seized in 15 different incidents
In 15 separate incidents, Personnel from the General Department of Narcotics Control have arrested 21 suspect of different nationalities. The arrests were made in connection with the possession of approximately 13 kilograms of various narcotic substances, including chemicals, shabu, hashish, marijuana, and cocaine.
Additionally, the detainees were found with 14,000 pills of various psychotropic substances, along with illegal firearms. The seized items were linked to both licensed and cash proceeds from illicit sales, reports Al-Rai daily.
The Public Relations and Security Media Department of the Ministry of Interior said in a statement that upon confronting the suspects with the confiscated items, they admitted that the seized drugs belong to them and their intention for abuse and trafficking.
Subsequently, the detainees, along with the seized items, were handed over to the competent authority to undergo all necessary legal proceedings.
