Commerce ministry seizes 3,800 counterfeit items in warehouse raids
- Inspection teams uncover fake branded clothing and footwear in crackdown on trademark violations
The Ministry of Commerce and Industry has seized 3,800 counterfeit items from two warehouses located in separate buildings in the form of fake clothing and footwear carrying international brand names.
Faisal Al-Ansari, Director of the Commercial Control Department at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, said the seizure followed prior surveillance and monitoring operations conducted by the department’s inspection teams.
The case will proceed through the required legal procedures before being referred to the competent authorities in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
