10 infrastructure projects in 3 emerging cities near completion

The Public Authority for Housing Welfare has taken possession of eight public buildings in Al-Mutlaa city.

  • The Public Authority for Housing Welfare has confirmed its ongoing efforts in finalizing the schedule for ten diverse infrastructure projects across Al-Mutlaa, South Khaitan, and Jaber Al-Ahmad.

  • The authority delivered two primary schools for both boys and girls in the second and third plots of the N10 suburb. Additionally, several mosques in the vicinity were also transferred.

The Public Authority for Housing Welfare has confirmed its ongoing efforts in finalizing the schedule for ten diverse infrastructure projects across three emerging housing cities: Al-Mutlaa, South Khaitan, and Jaber Al-Ahmad.

The corporation confirmed in a statement that, by the end of last March, it had commenced implementing the contractual work for supplying and installing road lighting in suburbs 6, 7, and 8 of Al-Mutlaa city.

It mentioned that work is currently underway to finalize the schedule for this project, particularly given its preparatory phase. Additionally, a similar contract is in progress for suburbs 9, 10, and 11 in the same city.

It also mentioned that work is ongoing to finalize the schedule for the contract to supply and extend the 400 KV underground cables for powering the two main substations Z5 and Z6 in the non-residential Al-Mutlaa City project.

The corporation further stated that work has commenced on the contract for constructing and completing services, infrastructure, and public buildings in the N9 suburb center in Al-Mutlaa. This project is expected to be finished by July 2026. It noted that the project is still in its preparatory phase, and efforts are being made to approve the schedule for the contract regarding the construction and completion of services, infrastructure works, and public buildings in the N10 suburb center in the city.

It also mentioned that the specialized team responsible for preparing the implementation of the contract for supplying, installing, and executing main road lighting works, traffic signal works, traffic speed control cameras, and variable message boards in the Al-Mutlaa Residential Project ‘Part Two’ is currently working on its execution. Efforts are also underway to approve the timetable for the first part of the project, which is still in its preparatory phase.

Additionally, it was noted that the timetable for the contract concerning the supply and extension of medium-voltage and low-voltage cable networks for suburbs N1, N5, and N12 in the Al-Mutlaa city project is in the process of being approved.

The corporation highlighted that in March of last year, the preparation of the timetable for the project to establish and complete the health center in the southern Khaitan project commenced. The completion of this work is anticipated by March 2026.

It disclosed that efforts are ongoing to approve the timetable for the contract work involving the supply, installation, and implementation of four main stations with a voltage of 132/11 kV, alongside a secondary station in the service axis of Jaber Al-Ahmad city.

In addition, the corporation announced that it has taken possession of eight public buildings in Al-Mutlaa city.

It was also noted that, in the presence of representatives from the Ministry of Education, two primary schools for boys and girls in the second and third plots of the N10 suburb were delivered. Furthermore, a number of mosques in the area were also handed over.
