Young talents honored during Al-Qurain Cultural Festival

As the curtain draws to a close on the “Al-Qurain Cultural Festival 29,” organized by the National Council for Culture, Arts, and Literature, 10 young male and female artists were honored for their outstanding contributions to the “Youth Fine Arts” exhibition. The festival, which has been a showcase for cultural richness, saw these artists shine brightly with their unique talents and artistic visions.

The screening and judging committee, composed of esteemed individuals in the arts sector, nominated these artists for their exceptional works, which reflect a diverse range of artistic styles and perspectives, reports Al-Rai daily.

Their contributions have elevated the plastic movement to new creative heights, demonstrating the depth of talent among Kuwait’s youth.

The honoring ceremony took place at the Museum of Modern Art and was attended by the Assistant Secretary-General for the Arts Sector, Musaed Muhammad Al-Zamil. Al-Zamil commended the participants for their creativity and encouraged them to continue pursuing their artistic endeavors. Among those honored were Nasser Al-Qurini, Sarah Sher, Ali Alamdar, Asma Al-Sawagh, Alaa Al-Mutairi, Khaled Al-Shaalan, Hussein Ismail, Noura Al-Kharji, Muhammad Al-Bannai, and Maryam Qasim.

Additionally, Duaij Al-Ghwainem, the Superintendent of the Fine Arts Department, recognized the invaluable contributions of the screening and judging committee members. These individuals, including artist Marzouq Al-Qenaei, Dr. Fahd Al-Kandari, artist Hassan Al-Najada, Dr. Laila Al-Balushi, and artist Abdullah Al-Zaid, played a crucial role in evaluating the artworks and selecting the deserving honorees.

Reflecting on the event, Al-Zamil expressed his delight at witnessing the creativity of the young artists and reiterated the National Council’s commitment to supporting and nurturing emerging talent. He emphasized the importance of continued artistic growth, urging young artists to heed the advice of seasoned professionals and strive for excellence in representing their country on both national and international stages.
