Uzbekistan plans to establish regional trade hub in Kuwait
H.E. Ayubkhan Yunusov, the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Kuwait, announced a conference on February 16 with 100 Uzbek businessmen, featuring an exhibition of Uzbek products and meetings with Kuwaiti counterparts.

• “We want to establish a large warehouse containing food, clothing, fabrics, leather, shoes, carpets, and other goods, and we are planning to open an Uzbek restaurant soon in Kuwait,” said H.E. Ayubkhan Yunusov, the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Kuwait.

Ayubkhan Yunusov, the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to the country, announced plans to establish a regional center and main hub for Uzbek products in Kuwait to facilitate distribution across neighboring countries. He also highlighted an upcoming conference on the 16th, where around 100 Uzbek businessmen will participate.
The event, held in cooperation with the Kuwaiti Chamber of Commerce and Industry, will feature an exhibition showcasing Uzbek products and meetings with Kuwaiti counterparts. The ambassador expressed hopes for a future visit by a Kuwaiti business delegation to Uzbekistan, Al Jarida newspaper reported.
In a call with the newspaper, ambassador Yunusov said, “We want to establish a large warehouse containing food, clothing, fabrics, leather, shoes, carpets, and other goods.” He added, “We currently have an exhibition in Kuwait for Uzbek carpets, and we are planning to open an Uzbek restaurant soon.”
The ambassador spoke about the “successful” Uzbek-Kuwaiti business forum held in Kuwait in May 2024, followed by a second forum in August 2024 with the Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Additional forums took place in Tashkent and Fergana in October of the same year, and in November, the first meeting of the joint committee was held in Tashkent, chaired by Minister of Finance Eng. Noora Al-Fassam. This was followed by a visit from Kuwaiti businessmen to Uzbekistan.
