United Kingdom congratulates Kuwait on the occasion of National & Liberation days

I would like to wish His Highness the Amir and all those who are celebrating, a very happy 63rd anniversary of National Day and 33rd anniversary of Liberation Day. This year is a special one in the UK and Kuwait’s history as we celebrate a century and a quarter of partnership and reflect with pride on all we have achieved together, including our collaboration to defend Kuwait’s sovereignty and territorial integrity during the First Gulf War.  I hope everyone is able to enjoy the long weekend and spend quality time with their loved ones.”
