
The Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Kuwait, H.E. Tuba Nur Sönmez, emphasized the prominent status of Turkish cuisine on the global culinary stage, highlighting its rich history, health-conscious nature, and deep roots in sustainable practices.
Her remarks came during a vibrant celebration organized by the Turkish Embassy in collaboration with the Turkish Tourism Promotion and Development Agency (TGA), under the auspices of the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism. The event was held at Marina Hotel Kuwait in honor of Turkish Cuisine Week.
The occasion was attended by H.E. Ambassador Sadiq Marafi, Assistant Foreign Minister for European Affairs, along with members of the diplomatic corps, renowned chefs, culinary professionals, tourism companies, social media influencers, and members of the press.
In her speech, Ambassador Sönmez underscored the shared cultural values between Turkey and Kuwait, particularly in the areas of hospitality and the appreciation of culinary arts.
