Prime Minister leads push for strategic warehouses to strengthen Kuwait’s supply chain

His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmed Al-Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah chaired a high-level meeting on Wednesday to discuss enhancing infrastructure and logistics capabilities, with a focus on allocating suitable land for the establishment of strategic warehouses aimed at strengthening the country’s supply management system.
The initiative is designed to boost Kuwait’s capacity to manage essential supplies, improve storage efficiency, and meet the future needs of vital sectors across the country.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister directed officials at Kuwait Storage Company to coordinate closely with the State Property Department at the Ministry of Finance Kuwait to expedite land registration procedures.
The move is intended to enhance operational readiness and advance the efficiency of strategic inventory management, reports Al-Rai daily
The meeting brought together several senior officials, including Minister of Public Works Dr. Noura Al-Mashaan, Minister of State for Municipal Affairs and Housing Abdul Latif Al-Mashari, Minister of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy Dr. Subaih Al-Mukhaizeem, and Minister of State for Economic Affairs and Investment Abdul Aziz Al-Marzouq.
Also in attendance were Director-General of the Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority Sheikh Dr. Meshaal Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Acting Head of the Prime Minister’s Office Sheikh Khalid Al-Khaled, Managing Director of the Kuwait Investment Authority Sheikh Saud Al-Sabah, and Chairman of the Board of the Kuwait Storage Company Hazem Al-Essa.
The discussions underscore the government’s commitment to strengthening logistical infrastructure and ensuring long-term supply resilience in line with national development priorities.
