Social media user held in police custody for promoting marijuana online
Personnel from the General Directorate for Drug Control, have taken into custody an unidentified person for promoting marijuana through social media.
According to the Ministry of Interior, the suspect posted videos and material portraying marijuana as a harmless substance, the security authorities said this misleading information could encourage people, particularly youngsters, to experiment with drugs.

During interrogation, he admitted to posting the clips on his personal social media account and confessed to sharing the content.
The ministry stated that the necessary legal measures have been taken against the accused.
