Social Affairs enforces strict aid oversight

The Ministry of Social Affairs reaffirmed its strict oversight on aid disbursement, confirming that under the directives of Minister Dr. Amthal Al-Huwailah and Acting Undersecretary Dr. Khaled Al-Ajmi, no aid will be issued except to legally eligible cases.
The ministry also sought legal advice on reclaiming funds paid to individuals whose Kuwaiti nationality was withdrawn due to forgery.
In March, KD 95,000 was disbursed to 1,792 Article VIII cases, though aid was suspended for anyone proven to have committed nationality fraud or remained abroad since their withdrawal. A special team is currently reviewing these cases.
Meanwhile, the national campaign to help debtors has collected over KD 12 million from 20,252 donors. Only those with debts under KD 20,000 and who haven’t benefited from past campaigns are eligible. Applications are processed online through the ministry’s aid platform under strict Sharia and legal guidelines to ensure fair distribution.
