‘Patriot’ deal to enhance Kuwait’s air defense capabilities

The Pentagon announced on Thursday that the U.S. State Department has approved a potential $400 million deal to modernize and refurbish Patriot missile systems for the State of Kuwait.

According to the statement, the primary contractor for the agreement will be RTX Corporation, formerly known as Raytheon Technologies.

The proposed deal aims to enhance Kuwait’s air defense capabilities through the upgrade and maintenance of its existing Patriot missile systems.
