Shoaib Malik ties knot with Pakistan actor Sana Javed

Former Pakistani captain Shoaib Malik said on Saturday that, following his divorce with Sania Mirza, he wed prominent actor Sana Javed in Karachi.

The cricket player, who had a son with Indian tennis player Sania, shared a photo of himself and his new spouse on social media with the caption, “And We created you in pairs.”

Hours after former Pakistan cricket team captain Shoaib Malik announced his marriage to actress Sana Javed, a family member of former India tennis player and first wife of Malik, Sania Mirza, said that the tennis ace had unilaterally divorced her husband.

A family source told PTI that “it was a ‘khula'”, which refers to the right of a Muslim woman to divorce her husband unilaterally. Interestingly, in the initial PTI report, the same quote was attributed to Imran Mirza, the father of Sania.

His third marriage with actress Sana Javed, following speculations about his separation from Sania Mirza. Sana Javed, known for her roles in Urdu television dramas, previously married singer Umair Jaswal in 2020 but faced difficulties, leading to separation.
