Among the attendees were His Highness Sheikh Dr. Mohammed Al-Sabah, Dr. Abdullah Ghoul, Director General of the Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority Sheikh Dr. Meshaal Al-Jaber, Dr. Raja Easa Al-Gurg, Director of the Centre Dr. Farhan Nizami, and Dr. Basil Abduljaber Mustafa.

The luncheon was also attended by Dr. Amina Farhan, Director of the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences, along with a number of the Foundation’s senior officials.
Following the luncheon, the delegation toured the Peace Palace Museum, where they were briefed on the museum’s galleries and exhibits that highlight key milestones in Kuwait’s history, its national symbols and institutions, and its humanitarian and diplomatic achievements. The museum’s collections, documents, and photographs provide a comprehensive narrative of the nation’s progress and cultural richness.

Sheikh Hamad Jaber Al-Ali affirmed that Kuwait places great importance on fostering cooperation with leading international academic and research institutions, particularly the Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies. “We firmly believe that investing in knowledge and enlightened thought is a vital part of our national responsibility—both for today and for future generations,” he said.
He further emphasized that the Peace Palace Museum has become a distinguished national cultural landmark dedicated to documenting Kuwait’s modern history, its stages of development, and its global role.
“The museum’s mission goes beyond displaying artifacts—it safeguards the nation’s collective memory and presents it in a structured, scholarly manner. It also serves as a valuable resource for researchers and those interested in Kuwait’s history, thereby enriching public awareness of the nation’s heritage and responsibilities,” he added.
