Serbian Charge d’Affaires Visits The Times Kuwait
The Times Kuwait recently welcomed H.E. Filip Katic, Charge d’Affaires of the Republic of Serbia to Kuwait, during a courtesy visit to its office.
H.E. Katic was received by Tareq Yousef Al-Shumaimry, Editor-in-Chief of The Times Kuwait, and Reaven D’Souza, Executive Managing Editor. The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss the longstanding friendly relations between Serbia and Kuwait, as well as avenues for enhancing bilateral cooperation across various sectors.
The discussions also focused on Serbia’s growing tourism potential and the increasing interest among travelers in exploring the country’s rich cultural heritage, natural landscapes, and investment opportunities. H.E. Katic highlighted preparations for Expo 2027 Belgrade, which will be the first Specialized Expo to be hosted in the Western Balkans, and underscored its significance as a global platform for innovation, collaboration, and international engagement.
The meeting further explored opportunities for media cooperation and the role of journalism in strengthening cultural understanding and people-to-people ties between nations. Both sides expressed their commitment to fostering closer engagement and promoting mutual awareness of developments and opportunities in Serbia and Kuwait.
The visit concluded with an exchange of commemorative mementos and a reaffirmation of the strong friendship between the two countries.
