Police arrest Kuwaiti citizen running marijuana farm; seize drugs, 17,820 dinars cash
Personnel from the Directorate-General for Combating Drugs has arrested a Kuwaiti citizen accused of operating a farm for cultivating marijuana and possessing narcotic substances intended for trafficking and personal consumption.
The Ministry of Interior said the arrest followed monitoring and investigations that led security officers to the cultivation site.
During the operation, authorities seized 6 kilograms of marijuana, 250 grams of hashish and 17,820 dinars in cash believed to be proceeds from the sale of drugs, along with equipment used in the cultivation of marijuana.
The suspect and the seized items were referred to the relevant authorities for further legal action.
The operation forms part of Kuwait’s continuing efforts to combat drug trafficking and the cultivation, distribution and use of narcotic substances.
