PAM launches Housing Compliance Service via ‘Ashal’ portal
The Public Authority for Manpower (PAM) has taken a step towards ensuring worker housing compliance. PAM has launched a new service through the ‘Ashal’ portal.
PAM stresses this initiative comes from the principle that employers, especially those with government contracts, need to provide housing for their workers. It also aims to prevent workers from being charged for this housing.
The new service, called the ‘Housing Compliance Inspection Service,’ is managed by the Administrative Planning and Development Sector of PAM. It becomes available to employers upon completion of the registration of a new government contract.
The service allows employers to:
- Add new worker housing to their file on the portal.
- Modify details of existing worker housing.
- Increase the number of units within registered worker housing.
- Cancel worker housing if needed.
- Inquire about the status of worker housing registered under their company.
