The US recorded the highest yet new coronavirus cases in a single day on in the past 24 hours with 50,203 new cases, whereas Brazil’s coronavirus deaths surpassed 60,000.
According to Johns Hopkins University, the confirmed coronavirus cases in the US reached at least 2,685,806, while over 600 coronavirus deaths were reported, bringing the total deaths to 128,062.
Meanwhile, the coronavirus deaths in Brazil surpassed 60,000 on Wednesday after 1,038 deaths were reported in the past 24 hours, taking the country’s death toll to 60,632.
Brazil also recorded 46,712 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours as the country’s total confirmed cases reached 1,448,753.
The US and Brazil are the top countries globally with the highest number of confirmed coronavirus cases and deaths.
