The US recorded almost 50,000 new coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours while Brazil’s coronavirus cases topped 1.6 million as Mexico now ranks fifth globally in the coronavirus deaths.
According to Johns Hopkins University, the US reported 49,199 new coronavirus cases and 271 deaths as the coronavirus cases nationwide reached 2,888,635 cases and 129,947 reported deaths.
Meanwhile, Brazil’s health ministry recorded 26,051 new coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours as the country’s total cases now reached 1,603,055.
Brazil also recorded 602 coronaviruses bringing the country’s total deaths to 64,867.
Furthermore, Mexico now ranks fifth globally in the coronavirus deaths as the country’s death toll reached 30,639 whereas its confirmed coronavirus cases reached 256,848, ranking eighth globally.
