On the occasion of Kuwait’s 62nd anniversary of National Day and 32nd anniversary of Liberation Day, I am pleased to convey my sincerest congratulations to the friendly leadership, government and hospitable people of Kuwait.
Representing a country which is now fighting for the right to live, I cannot but hail the heroism of Kuwaitis who gained victory over invaders 32 years ago. Since Ukraine and Kuwait share similar scenarios of self-defense in liberation wars, we understand that today we mark the resilience and bravery of the Kuwaiti nation.
Ukrainians will also emerge victorious from the battle for freedom, as Kuwait did in 1991. That being said, we heartily thank Kuwait for the unwavering diplomatic and humanitarian support of Ukraine in these dark times. We wish our Kuwaiti friends further progress and prosperity, well-being and a bright future.
