The Saudi Ministry of Health on Saturday confirmed 30 additional deaths and 2,994 more cases of the novel Coronavirus, known as Covid-19.

The latest figures bring the kingdom’s total number of fatalities and infections with the deadly virus to 2,181 and 229,480 respectively, the ministry said in a press statement.

A total of 2,370 more patients were cured of the respiratory illness over the over 24 hours, raising the overall count of recoveries to 165,396 since the outbreak of the virus in the kingdom, it added.

UAE registers 403 new COVID-19 cases, total at 54,453

UAE announced on Saturday 403 new Coronavirus (COVID cases in the past 24 hours to increase overall infections to 54,453.

The health ministry revealed in a statement that 679 persons recovered, taking the total to 44,648, while the death total rose by one to 331.

The ministry added that 58,000 tests were conducted in various parts in the UAE, offering condolences to the families of the dead and wishing the sick a swift recovery.
