This brings total number of coronavirus infections in the country to 220,144

Saudi Arabia reported 3,036 new cases of coronavirus, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 220,144, the Ministry of Health announced on Wednesday (July 8).

In recent days there was a slight rise in the recovery growth curve, by which the recoveries in the Kingdom are higher than the number of cases.

The ministry reported 3,211 recoveries today, with total recoveries in the kingdom at 158,050. There are 2,263 cases in intensive care.

The ministry also confirmed 42 deaths, bringing the total number of deaths in the kingdom to 2,059.

Qatar reports 608 new coronavirus cases, 4 deaths

Qatar has reported the detection of 608 new coronavirus cases, pushing its total confirmed cases to 101,415.

According to the latest coronavirus updates, the Ministry of Public Health announced that four more people have died from COVID-19, taking the country’s death toll to 138.

Also 1,204 infected have made full recovery, bringing the total number of confirmed recoveries to 96,107. There are 5,308 active cases, including 712 critical and 154 seriously ill patients under intensive treatment.

The ministry has so far conducted 396,199 COVID-19 tests, since the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic, with 5,202 additional tests conducted over the past 24 hours.
