The Saudi Ministry of Interior on Saturday decided to fully lift a nationwide curfew and resume all economic and commercial activities as of Sunday.
But, it emphasized that it is essential for people to follow relevant health guidelines, maintain social distancing and put on face masks, an official source of the ministry was quoted by the kingdom’s official news agency as saying.
However, Umrah (lesser pilgrimage), international fights, land and sea movement will remain suspended until further notice, the source added.
The latest move came in line with the recommendations of health authorities for curbing the spreading of the novel Coronavirus (Covid-19), the source noted.
Earlier in the day, the Saudi Ministry of Health confirmed 46 additional deaths and 3,941 cases of infectious respiratory illness.
