On behalf of the Peruvian Government and people of Peru, I would like to extend my warmest congratulations to the prosperous State of Kuwait, its leadership, government and people, on the occasion of the National Day, and Liberation Day of Kuwait.
I also avail myself of this opportunity to respectfully convey, on behalf of Madam President of the Republic of Peru, Her Excellency Dina Boluarte, to His Highness the Amir, Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, her fervent vows for His Highness’ personal wellbeing and the prosperity of the State, Government and the people of Kuwait.
Likewise, I express my best wishes to His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, on the occasion of the National Day and the Liberation Day of the state of kuwait.
Peru and Kuwait established diplomatic relations in 1975, almost half a century ago. Our friendship and cooperation has been steady and positive. Today, Kuwait can count on Peru’s willingness and my personal commitment to promote and enhance our bilateral relations in all fields, from political cooperation in international forums, culture exchanges, economic and investment, to trade and tourism as a means of cooperation between our two nations.
The main framework of our fruitful relations and cooperation is the full coincidence in our approaches regarding the observance of international law, the purposes and principles of the United Nations Charter, and unrestricted respect for democracy, the rule of law and human rights.
Finally, I wish the friendly people of the State of Kuwait lasting prosperity, success and peace, and my assurances that friendship and cooperation between Peru and Kuwait will broaden and strengthen, for the benefit of the two countries and its people in the coming years.
On a personal note, I express my sincere gratitude to the Government of Kuwait and its leadership, for the warm welcome I have received since my arrival to this wonderful country and reaffirm my commitment to work for the benefit and success of the friendly relations between Peru and Kuwait.
