Up to 23,285 new confirmed coronavirus cases were recorded Wednesday in the US, bringing the total cases up to 1,551,853, according to Johns Hopkins University.
The tally showed that at least 1,518 deaths were recorded, the total reaching 93,439 nationwide. New York remains the epicenter of the virus in the US with 354,370 confirmed cases and 28,636 deaths.
