India’s government sources said on Saturday that 757 people died due to Coronavirus (COVID 19), and 48916 positive cases were reported from across the country in the last 24 hours.
The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said in its latest update that death toll due to the corona virus infection climbed to 31358 people, while total Covid 19 infections rose to 1.3 million.
Till now, 849,432 people have recovered from the deadly disease as the pandemic hit 35 Indian states and many regions have started reimposing lockdown.
Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, New Delhi, Telangana, Karnataka, Assam and Bihar are among the worst affected Indian states.
The government has asked people, governments and local authorities to take all necessary precautions as the nation entered into the second phase of unlocking, adding guidelines in the containmet zones should be followed strictly.
