On behalf of the Government and the Embassy of Argentina, I would like to extend my sincere congratulations to his Highness the Amir of the State of Kuwait, Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the Crown Prince, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the Government and the people of Kuwait on the occasion of Kuwait’s 62nd anniversary of Independence.
Since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1968, Kuwait and Argentina developed friendly and productive bonds. During Kuwait’s darkest days, the Gulf War, Argentina was proud to participate in the great coalition for its liberation.
On the 32nd anniversary of these historic events, I pray for the continued peace, progress and prosperity of Kuwait. I also praise its active role as peacekeeper in the region and its valuable contributions to humanitarian aid to alleviate suffering in different parts of the world. I join Kuwaitis joyfully celebrating their freedom and success.
