As part of ongoing security efforts to enhance public comfort and road safety, the Ministry of Interior, through the General Directorate of Traffic, in cooperation with the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, has reaffirmed its commitment to intensive traffic campaigns. These efforts include fixed and mobile checkpoints to crack down on illegally modified vehicles with noisy exhausts, as well as shutting down garages that install these violations, Q8-Press reported.
The ministry confirmed that any violating vehicle will be seized for 60 days, and legal action will be taken against its driver. Companies that install illegal exhaust systems will be closed immediately, and those involved will be referred to the competent authorities for legal action. Inspectors from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry will be deployed to workshops to monitor operations, seize violations, and enforce closures.
