Ministry lifts ban on social events amid improved security situation
The Ministry of Interior has announced that weddings, parties, and theatrical performances will be permitted to resume across the country starting tomorrow, Friday.
In a statement issued today, the Ministry referred to Statement No. (11), which had previously prohibited the holding of such events. It explained that, following a thorough assessment of the current security situation, it has decided to reinstate permission for these activities effective Friday, April 24, 2026.
The decision comes in light of the improved stability, aiming to strike a balance between the resumption of social life and the continued safeguarding of public safety, reports Al-Rai daily.
The Ministry affirmed that it will continue to monitor developments around the clock and take all necessary measures to maintain security and stability.
It also called on the public to cooperate fully and adhere to guidelines that help ensure the highest levels of safety for all.
