Ministers discuss milestones in Kuwait’s Google Cloud partnership
The Council of Ministers praised minister Omar Al-Omar’s efforts in implementing Kuwait’s pact with Google Cloud and launching the ‘Newborn’s Journey’ in the ‘Sahel’ app, highlighting the importance of digitizing services and simplifying government procedures.

• The Cabinet reviewed a presentation by Minister of State for Communications Affairs Omar Saud Al-Omar on the progress of Kuwait’s partnership with Google Cloud, which includes the Application Programming Interface Management Platform and the National Cybersecurity Program.
The Council of Ministers held its weekly meeting on Wednesday at Bayan Palace, chaired by Acting Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad YousefSaud Al-Sabah. After the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs SheridaAbdullah Al-Muasherji shared updates, reported Arabic daily Al Qabas.
The cabinet was briefed on the recent state visit by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and his delegation from April 14 to 15. The official talks between Kuwait and Egypt were led by His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and President El-Sisi, with the attendance of key officials from both countries.
The Council of Ministers was informed about the issuance of a joint Kuwaiti-Egyptian statement following President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s visit to Kuwait. The statement emphasized the determination of both sides to strengthen trade and investment relations in line with their common interests.
The Council of Ministers was briefed on the visit of Foreign Minister Abdullah Ali Al-Yahya to Turkey, where he led Kuwait’s delegation at the Fourth Antalya Diplomatic Forum. The Cabinet also heard from Finance Minister Noura Al-Fassam about the results of Kuwait hosting the joint annual meetings of Arab financial institutions and the 16th Council of Arab Finance Ministers.
In his opening speech, Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah emphasized the importance of economic cooperation, institutional integration, and Kuwait’s commitment to supporting youth and development through the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development.
The Cabinet heard from minister Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi about his visit to Osaka to inaugurate Kuwait’s pavilion at Expo Osaka 2025, highlighting Kuwait’s role in supporting arts, culture, and innovation.
The Cabinet also reviewed a presentation by Minister of State for Communications Affairs Omar Saud Al-Omar on the progress of Kuwait’s partnership with Google Cloud, which includes the Application Programming Interface Management Platform and the National Cybersecurity Program. Additionally, Al-Omar discussed the launch of the “Newborn’s Journey” within the unified government app ‘Sahel,’ streamlining seven interconnected services for new parents.

“The Council of Ministers approved the minutes of the Supreme Committee for the Investigation of Kuwaiti Nationality, which included cases of the loss and withdrawal of Kuwaiti nationality from certain individuals, in accordance with the provisions of Decree Law No. (15) of 1959 on Kuwaiti nationality and its amendments.”
