Ministerial Court clears Al-Fahad of election interference

The Ministerial Court has upheld a decision to dismiss the complaint filed against Sheikh Ahmad Al-Fahad concerning alleged interference in parliamentary elections.

The complaint, originally submitted by the Financial Investigations Unit, accused Al-Fahad of influencing the electoral process through financial disbursements.

A committee tasked with investigating ministers — led by Counselor Omar Al-Masoud and including Counselors Saud Al-Sanea and Ahmed Al-Muqallad — had previously ruled to dismiss the case, citing a lack of evidence to support the accusations. That decision was later appealed but has now been confirmed by the court.

The ruling effectively closes the case, affirming that no sufficient grounds were found to pursue charges against Sheikh Ahmad Al-Fahad in relation to the electoral interference allegations.
