Minister of Justice launched “electronic reporting” for human trafficking crimes on public prosecution website

Dr. Mohammed Al-Wasmi, Minister of Justice, Chairman of the National Standing Committee to Combat Trafficking in Persons and Migrant Smuggling, made a significant announcement about the inauguration and start of the submission of electronic reporting service on trafficking crimes, on the Public Prosecution website.

Al-Wasmi added that this step will contribute in maintaining the identity, confidentiality and privacy of data of the victim reporting such incidences.

Similarly, the electronic reporting will also remove any obstacles encountered while reporting this crime and prosecution of the perpetrators of human trafficking crimes.

On a very significant note, Al-Wasmi pointed out that this comes within the framework of the Committee’s efforts to achieve its vision of community prevention, victims and witnesses in human trafficking crimes and strengthening prosecution frameworks according to a specific strategy.

To conclude, this initiative is part of Kuwait’s broader efforts to combat human trafficking, enhance transparency, and ensure timely legal intervention in such serious crimes.
