Minister of Education calls for health-conscious future generations
Sayed Jalal Al-Tabtabaei made his remarks during the launch of the first Gulf Conference for Secondary School Students, describing the event as a pivotal milestone and a pioneering step toward the integrated development of the Gulf Arab states.

His remarks came during the launch of the first Gulf Conference for Secondary School Students, held under the slogan “Health Awareness with a Gulf Perspective,” in cooperation with the Ministries of Interior and Defense, the National Awareness Project for Drug Prevention (Gharas), and the Arab Bureau of Education for the Gulf States.
Al-Tabtabaei said that this conference marks a pivotal milestone and a pioneering step in the path of integrated development for the Gulf Arab states, embodying an ambitious Gulf vision to enhance awareness.
For his part, the Director-General of the Arab Bureau of Education for the Gulf States, Dr. Mohammed Al-Muqbil, stated that drugs, stimulants, and counterfeit weight loss products are destructive plagues that ravage minds and destroy societies. Recognizing this, the conference and its themes reflect a conscious awareness of the magnitude of the challenges facing children during their educational stages.
He added that the conference highlights a deep understanding of the importance of integrating official and civil efforts, with the support of the leaders of the Arab Gulf states, and adopting a scientific, preventative approach based on a thorough understanding of the needs of the next generation, drawing on the latest global studies and experiences.
Meanwhile, Dr. Ahmed Al-Shatti, CEO of the GharasProject, emphasized that the conference aims to raise health awareness among Gulf youth, promote a culture of prevention, build youth health capabilities, and enhance Gulf cooperation in health awareness.
